These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge provides rubbish removal and related waste collection services to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking, using our services or allowing our operatives access to your premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions shall have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the individual, company or organisation requesting rubbish removal or related services from Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge.

Services means any rubbish removal, waste collection, clearance, loading, transportation, or disposal service provided by Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge.

Operatives means any employees, contractors, or agents engaged by Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge to carry out the Services.

Waste means any items, materials, rubbish, junk, furniture, appliances, garden waste or other waste materials agreed to be removed as part of the Services, excluding any prohibited or hazardous items.

Contract means the agreement between the Customer and Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge for the provision of Services, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge provides rubbish removal and waste collection services within its operational service areas. Services may include household rubbish clearances, office and commercial clearances, garden waste removal, bulky item collection and related work, as agreed at the time of booking.

The exact scope of Services for each job will be confirmed with the Customer prior to commencement and may be based on a description, photographs, or an on-site assessment. The Customer acknowledges that the final price may depend on the actual volume, weight and nature of the waste presented on the day of collection.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge reserves the right to refuse to collect any waste that is hazardous, prohibited by law, not as described at the time of booking, or which cannot be safely handled by the Operatives.

3. Booking Process

Bookings for rubbish removal and waste collection services can be made by telephone, email or other communication channels offered from time to time. When making a booking, the Customer must provide accurate and complete information, including:

1. The collection address and access details.
2. The approximate volume and type of waste to be removed.
3. Any special access requirements, such as parking restrictions, stairs or limited entry.
4. Any known hazardous or unusual items.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may provide an estimated quotation based on the information supplied. This estimate is not binding and may be adjusted after inspection of the waste on arrival. Where possible, the Operatives will confirm the final charge before commencing work.

A booking is only confirmed when Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge accepts the Customer’s request and provides a booking confirmation. Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge reserves the right to decline any booking request at its sole discretion.

4. Access and Customer Obligations

The Customer must ensure that the Operatives have safe, reasonable and lawful access to the premises and to the waste to be collected at the agreed date and time. This includes arranging necessary permissions for parking and entry to shared or managed properties where applicable.

The Customer shall:

1. Ensure that all waste to be collected is clearly identified, separated from items not to be removed, and is reasonably accessible.
2. Inform Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge of any circumstances that may affect the performance of the Services, including limited access, parking restrictions, or health and safety risks.
3. Be present at the premises during the collection window or authorise a representative to be present, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge will not be liable for delays or inability to complete the work arising from inadequate access, incorrect information, or failure by the Customer to comply with these obligations. Additional charges may apply where extra time, labour, or revisits are required in such circumstances.

5. Pricing and Payments

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of any applicable taxes or charges that may be applied in accordance with UK law.

Charges for rubbish removal and waste collection are typically based on volume, weight, labour and disposal costs. Where an estimated quotation has been provided prior to arrival, this may be revised once the Operatives have inspected the waste and assessed the actual work required. The Customer will be informed of any change in price before the Services are carried out.

Payment is due on completion of the Services, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance. Accepted payment methods will be communicated to the Customer at the time of booking or on arrival. Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge reserves the right to require a deposit or full advance payment for certain jobs, including large commercial clearances or out-of-hours work.

Where payment terms are agreed on an account basis for business Customers, invoices shall be payable within the period stated on the invoice. Late payment may incur interest and administrative charges in accordance with applicable UK legislation.

6. Cancellations, Amendments and Missed Appointments

The Customer may cancel or amend a booking by giving reasonable notice prior to the scheduled arrival time. Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge requests that cancellations or changes are made as early as possible to minimise disruption to scheduling.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee where:

1. The Customer cancels or materially alters the booking with insufficient notice.
2. The Operatives attend the premises at the agreed time but are unable to gain access or commence work due to circumstances within the Customer’s control.
3. The Customer fails to present the waste as agreed, resulting in the job not proceeding.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may need to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including vehicle breakdowns, severe weather, staff illness, or legal restrictions. In such cases, Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge will inform the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and offer a new appointment time. Liability for such changes is limited to re-arranging the Service or refunding any advance payment for Services not provided.

7. Waste Regulations and Prohibited Items

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge operates in accordance with relevant UK waste legislation and environmental regulations. All waste collected will be transported and disposed of through authorised facilities and carriers, with the aim of promoting responsible reuse, recycling and lawful disposal.

The Customer must not present any waste that is hazardous or requires special handling unless expressly agreed in advance. Prohibited items may include, but are not limited to, asbestos, chemicals, solvents, medical waste, certain electrical items, gas cylinders, oils, fuels and pressurised containers. If any such items are discovered, Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may refuse to remove them, or may apply additional charges where specialist handling is required and agreed by the Customer.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that any waste handed over is their property or that they have the legal right to dispose of it. The Customer confirms that no collected items are subject to any third party claim or retention of title.

Once the waste has been collected and loaded onto the vehicle, ownership of the waste passes to Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge for the purposes of lawful transport and disposal. The Customer acknowledges that items removed cannot be reclaimed once the service is complete.

8. Liability and Limitations

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge will exercise reasonable care and skill in carrying out the Services. However, the following limitations of liability apply to the fullest extent permitted by UK law.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge shall not be liable for:

1. Any pre-existing damage to property, fixtures, fittings or belongings.
2. Damage arising from the movement or removal of particularly bulky or awkward items where the risk of damage could not reasonably have been avoided.
3. Any loss, damage or costs arising from the Customer’s failure to provide accurate information, adequate access, or safe working conditions.
4. Indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunities.

If damage to property occurs directly due to the negligence of Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge or its Operatives, the Customer must notify Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge in writing as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 7 days of the Service date. Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may request evidence and the opportunity to inspect the alleged damage. Where liability is accepted, Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may at its discretion arrange repair, replacement, or a fair monetary compensation, subject to any applicable limitations of its insurance cover.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

9. Customer Warranties and Indemnity

The Customer warrants that:

1. They have full authority to enter into the Contract and to authorise removal of the waste.
2. The information supplied at the time of booking is complete and accurate in all material respects.
3. No hazardous or prohibited materials will be presented for collection unless specifically agreed.

The Customer agrees to indemnify Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge against any claims, losses, damages, fines or expenses arising from a breach of these warranties, including any legal or regulatory action connected with unlawful disposal of waste where such unlawfulness arises from the Customer’s act or omission.

10. Delays and Events Beyond Our Control

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge will use reasonable efforts to attend appointments at the agreed time, but timings are approximate and may be affected by traffic, weather, access issues, or other factors beyond its control. The Customer acknowledges that slight delays may occur and agrees to allow a reasonable time window for arrival.

If performance of the Services is prevented or delayed by an event beyond the reasonable control of Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge, including but not limited to extreme weather, industrial action, road closures, accidents, or legal restrictions, Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge shall not be in breach of the Contract. In such cases, the obligation to perform the Services will be suspended for the duration of the event, and a revised appointment may be offered.

11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge aims to deliver a professional and reliable waste collection service. If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should contact Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge promptly with details of the issue.

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge will investigate complaints and seek to resolve them in a fair and timely manner. The Customer agrees to provide reasonable co-operation, including photographs or further information where necessary, to help assess and address the complaint.

12. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, operational requirements, or the nature of the services offered. Any updated Terms and Conditions will apply to new bookings from the date they are published or otherwise made available. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that specific Contract.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of the Services.

14. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision shall be deemed deleted, but such deletion shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.

No failure or delay by Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge in exercising any right or remedy provided under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.

The Contract is between Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge and the Customer. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

By booking or using rubbish removal and waste collection services from Rubbish Removal Knightsbridge, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
